Chateau Rhianfa is an enchanting place with stunning architecture and amazing views of the Menai Strait. However, my experience was marred by inconsistent service and a few cleanliness issues in the public areas, which I found disappointing. While the comfort of my executive suite was commendable, the lack of attentive service really detracted from the overall charm of the hotel. 🌅
Rooms

The executive suite offered lovely views and decent amenities, but the beds pushed together made for an uncomfortable night. On the plus side, the decor and cleanliness were well-maintained.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired, as I often needed to track down staff for assistance. The bar service was particularly frustrating, with a warm bottle of Prosecco handed to me rather than opened properly.
Location

The location is amazing, surrounded by beautiful gardens and the majestic Menai Strait, which I enjoyed during my stay. It truly enhances the overall experience of being at the hotel. 🌿
Dining

I had mixed feelings about the dining experience. While the food quality was good, the limited menu and the initially cold breakfast were disappointing. The restaurant ambiance lacked atmosphere, particularly since we were seated in an annexe without views.
Facilities

The grounds were lovely and well-maintained, providing a beautiful setting for walks and relaxation. However, the bar prices felt a bit steep.

Chateau Rhianfa has stunning architecture and beautiful grounds with very nice views of the Menai Strait. but the service and dining experience left much to be desired. I found some facilities lacking maintenance, and the overall management needs improvement to justify the high prices.

My suite offered amazing views, but the decor felt shoddy with peeling wallpaper and ripped curtains. Amenities like bathrobes were missing, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.

The staff were friendly, but disorganization marred my experience. It took time to receive assistance, especially in the dining areas, making for frustrating waits.

While the lounge menu had appealing choices, I encountered slow service with food arriving tepid. Breakfast options were limited, and the buffet lacked replenishment.

The grounds had potential for beauty, especially with the hot tub, but the facilities felt underutilized and neglected, detracting from the overall experience.

Chateau Rhianfa offers stunning views of the Menai Strait and possesses beautiful architecture, creating a magical atmosphere. However, I encountered several issues that affected my overall experience. Although the staff were friendly and attentive, the facilities and service fell short in several areas, needing significant attention.
Rooms

My room was small and cozy, but it lacked adequate storage and had some wear and tear that needed addressing. The shower was fantastic, but I was disappointed to find some amenities missing, like hangers and a hairdryer.
Service

While I appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, there just weren’t enough of them around. Getting a drink took some effort, especially if I was in the gardens, which made for slow service at times.

The location is simply amazing, with gorgeous views over the Menai Strait. The grounds are beautiful and inviting, but some areas could use a bit more care.
Dining

Breakfast was a mixed bag. Although the Welsh breakfast had its moments, some items were not up to par, and I missed having a buffet option for cold items. Dinner options seemed less advertised, which felt a bit odd.
Facilities

The hotel’s facilities really need a refurbishment. Some areas felt neglected, and the tennis court, along with other outside spaces, weren't well-maintained.

My stay at Chateau Rhianfa was pretty magical overall. The stunning views of the Menai Straits and the gorgeous architecture definitely made for a picture-perfect backdrop. While the dining experience had its ups and downs, with some food misrepresentations and a mix-up at breakfast, the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. I’d give this place a solid 8 out of 10, and I’d definitely consider coming back!

My stay at Chateau Rhianfa had its ups and downs. The stunning architecture and beautiful views really made for a fairytale-like experience, but I found several aspects that fell short of expectations, particularly regarding the room maintenance and the dining options. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the overall experience just didn’t quite justify the price.

The Duke Suite was visually stunning and large, offering great views of the gardens and Menai Strait. However, it had noticeable issues like mold in the bathroom and worn furniture, which detracted from the luxury feel I had hoped for.
Service

The staff was friendly and eager to help, which made my experience feel warm and welcoming. However, it seemed they were stretched thin during breakfast and afternoon tea service, affecting overall efficiency.

Chateau Rhianfa is beautifully positioned overlooking the Menai Strait with charming gardens to explore. The location truly enhances the romantic ambiance, making it a lovely place to unwind in nature.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast had a variety of options but the quality of my meal was disappointing. My Rhianfa Eggs were unsatisfactory with split hollandaise and burnt brioche, which ruined my dining experience. The limited dinner menu did not appeal to me either, so I opted to eat in Beaumaris instead.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel's facilities, including the lovely gardens, contributed to a pleasant atmosphere. However, the lack of proper lighting in the car park made navigating back to the room challenging at night, which was a concern.
